CIT ICT hosts career night

ICT and Cyber successfully networked many students with a large number of industry representatives at Tuggeranong during the 2023 CIT ICT careers industry night.

The hugely successful event included guests such as Canberra Cyber Hub, DFAT, KPMG, Leidos, Attura and Fifth Domain.

The event's focus was on AI and its impacts on students, employers and industry and how we should approach AI moving into the future. It also provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills, presenting these to potential employers on the evening of the event.  ICT and Cyber are already planning their next successful industry pathways event for October, networking more industry partners looking to recruit students in their fields of expertise.

Yvette From Canberra Cyber hub was impressed by the calibre of the CIT IT and Cyber grads: "they have the skills to hit the ground running and contribute immediately to our ICT and Cyber teams. It's an exciting time to be in this industry. It pays well and you never stop learning."
