CIT to UC Guaranteed Pathways
Build on your CIT qualification and take the next step in your study journey. The Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) and the University of Canberra (UC) share a commitment to helping you build real careers through practical, hands-on learning. Through the CIT to UC Guaranteed Pathways program, eligible diploma graduates will receive guaranteed entry and credit towards a UC bachelor degree.
These pathways make it easier to transition from vocational education to university study by building on the skills and knowledge you’ve gained at CIT, saving you time, reducing costs and helping you continue your studies with confidence.

Other pathways to university
In addition to guaranteed pathways, CIT qualifications can also support a range of pathways into further study UC and other Australian universities. While these pathways are not formal or guaranteed entry arrangements, many universities recognise the knowledge, skills and experience gained through vocational education and training as part of their admissions and credit assessment processes.
Graduates may be eligible to apply for entry and/or receive recognition of prior studies depending on the university, program and individual circumstances. Students are encouraged to check entry requirements and credit arrangements directly with their preferred university and degree to understand how a CIT qualification may support their study goals.
