Careers Advice

Are you Study Ready?
- Some programs at CIT require you to have language, literacy and numeracy skills (LLN) at a particular level. To assist you to determine whether your LLN skills are at the required level for entry to a course, CIT may assess LLN as part of the pre enrolment process. Click here to find out more.
Student Support

Skills Recognition

Unique Student Identifier (USI)
- All CIT Students are required to have a USI before enrolment, click on the link provided under USI to create yours. Find out more information here.

Create an email account
- All CIT Students are required to have an active personal email address prior to enrolling at CIT. Click on this link to learn how to create an email account.
Course Fees and Assistance with Payment Options
- The enrolment process is not complete until your fees are paid, or you have implemented payment arrangements with CIT by your invoice due date.

Enrolment Process
- General Enrolment
  Once you have selected your course, you ENROL to study at CIT. You can apply online (see courses) or via a hardcopy enrolment form.
- To enrol online, select your course, taking note of the 'enrolment type'. If you are completing a paper enrolment form, you can either submit your completed form via email to infoline@cit.edu.au or bring it in person to a CIT Student Services location to be processed.
- Most study periods are broken down into semesters and terms, some courses continue throughout the year. Click to see our current Term Dates.
- Enrolling into your subjects
  Once you have been accepted to study your chosen course, you must ENROL into your subjects. To enrol you will either:
  - Attend a face-to-face enrolment session - enrolment will be either paper-based or completed online.
  OR
  - Enrol online - to do this you will need the class reference numbers (CRNs). These are available on the course timetable or provided to you by the teacher.
- Note: Some courses allow you to enrol at any time - follow the directions on the course information page on the CIT website. Once you have registered your course and subjects, you will be issued with a student invoice outlining your course fees and the date they are due for payment via email. The enrolment process is not complete until your fees are paid.

Parking at CIT
- A range of parking options are available for students at each CIT location.
Internet and Wi-Fi Access
- CIT students and staff have Internet and Wi-Fi access at all CIT locations.
Student Online Self Service - Ellucian Go App
- Once enrolled, you can access the Ellucian Go App.
  This is a mobile app that is linked to your CIT student records and helps you stay connected to CIT.
  The app allows you to access staff contact details, timetables, your student account, grades, news and much more.
CIT Student Card
- You will need a CITCard to access a range of services at CIT and as evidence of your student status.
- You can apply online or visit CIT Student Services to get a student card.
Purchasing Books
- All CITSA Bookshops carry prescribed texts and modules for courses as requested by teachers. You can make your purchases online or visit the campus bookshops.
Teacher Contact Guide
- From within the Ellucian Go App select Menu and CIT Directory to search for the contact you are looking for
eLearn
- eLearn is the online learning environment CIT uses which gives students a variety of online learning experiences.
Printing, Copying and Scanning
- Once you have a CIT Card, you can print to any printer in CIT from your personal device or CIT MAC using Webprint or from a CIT computer using your Student Print Account. You must add funds to your CIT Card for printing before you can print. Click here for more information

- CIT has a range of Study and Learning Support options to assist students.
24/7 Online Study Help - Studiosity
- Studiosity is an on-demand study help service provided by Studiosity subject specialists.
  
  Live online chat about your work or, you can submit a written draft for feedback.
  
  Studiosity is a FREE service to current CIT students and available 24/7, 365 days a year.
CIT Yurauna - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Educational Centre of Excellence
- CIT Yurauna is a student support centre, providing tailored Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander courses, study support and cultural advice.
CIT Library
- The CIT Library access to resources, services and research is available from any CIT campus.
24 Hour and After Hours Access
- The CIT Reid Library's 24-hour area provides access to computers, Wi-Fi, print, copy and scan facilities for students 7 days a week. The entrance is on the ground floor of E Block, CIT Reid.
- After Hours access to computer lab C011 is available at CIT Bruce, with authorisation from your Head of Department. You will need to take the signed form to CIT Facilities to have room access added to your CIT card.
- After Hours access is available at Gungahlin at specific times, click on the link to view the current after-hours times.
Computers and Study Spaces
- Computer facilities are available for use in each CIT Library.

CIT Face-to-Face Information and Enrolment Sessions

CIT face-to-face Information and Enrolment sessions are your opportunity to speak to CIT staff to find out more about the course and are a great way to have your questions answered. Staff at these sessions can also help you to enrol. If you are ready to enrol, make sure you bring everything you need. Information and Enrolment sessions that have a start and end time listed are casual drop-in sessions, you are not required to attend for the entire duration.

Information and Enrolment session times for all courses commencing in Semester 1, 2020 are listed below. Check the course entry for your application type and follow any instructions listed for enrolment.
