Overview
The Diploma of Sport is for individuals who apply the skills and knowledge to pursue a range of roles within the Australian sport industry. They work or volunteer at community-based sport clubs and organisations in the Australian sport industry.
Individuals with this qualification are involved in the self-directed application of knowledge and skills, and the provision of leadership and support to colleagues. They work autonomously and coordinate and supervise others.

Skills Recognition
Entry Requirements
You must have achieved Australian Year 12 OR industry experience OR complete a literacy assessment with CIT to demonstrate a literacy of at least ACSF Level 3 in writing and maths.
An interview may be required to discuss your aptitude for the qualification and gain additional information so that you make an informed decision about which delivery mode will suit you best. This interview may be in person at CIT Bruce campus, over the phone or via Skype/video conferencing.
Before undertaking any practical work experience involving children you will be required to undertake a 'working with vulnerable people' background check or state equivalent.
To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
Literacy Skills Information
We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework literacy levels of at least 3 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your course of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this course. If you do not have this level, you can still enrol and seek support to improve your skills or you may prefer to begin with the lower level course. Please visit Foundation Skills.
Transition Information
Qualifications at CIT are regularly updated or replaced to meet current industry needs and maximise your employment opportunities. If this occurs while you are part way through a qualification, you may need to vary your learning to meet the new national requirements. CIT will aim to make this as smooth as possible for you.
