Overview

This course is suited to people who wish to build a range of technical skills in landscaping. It will suit people who like working outdoors and have an aptitude for practical work. The training is conducted in the purpose-built 4.5 hectare horticulture facility at Bruce, and students are given the opportunity to work on a range of projects. This qualification is respected by local business.

 Apprentice:
One day per week (8hrs) over a three-year period, followed up by a 12-month period of on-the-job training.

Standard students:
There are three options for standard students.
1. One day per week (8hrs) over a three-year period
2. Two days per week (8hrs ea) over a two-year period
3. Three days per week (8hrs ea) over a one-year period

You will be required to wear relevant work PPE during practical outdoor work at CIT.

To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

Literacy Skills Information

We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework literacy levels of at least 3 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your course of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this course.
