ACT Training Fund Authority (TFA) funding

If you’re currently employed in the ACT construction industry you may be eligible for subsidised training through the ACT Building and Construction Industry Training Fund Authority (TFA).

Who is eligible?

To qualify, you must:

  • Work for a company or organisation that is at least 80% engaged in construction work (as defined in the Schedule of Work und the Act) within the ACT, and
  • Enrol in an approved course with an approved Registered Training Organisation (RTO), such as CIT

How to apply for TFA funding

  1. Check your eligibility using the criteria above. If you have special circumstances and don’t meet the standard eligibility criteria, you may still be eligible. If you’re unsure about your eligibility, contact TFA on (02) 6262 5630 or visit the TFA website for more information.
  2. Complete the register your interest form to let us know that you would like to apply for TFA funding. You must contact CIT before enrolling so we can apply the funding rebate. Rebates cannot be applied after enrolment or once training is complete.
  3. CIT will apply for the rebate on your behalf, there’s no need to apply directly.

Please note that fraudulent declarations are taken seriously by both CIT and TFA.
