This skill set will provide you with the skills and knowledge to depower, reinitialise and service/maintain battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
This skill set is for individuals with existing automotive technology skills and knowledge, who work in automotive mechanical or electrical technical contexts, and who are looking to upskill in the area of BEVs.
To achieve the Statement of Attainment in Depower and Reinitialise Battery Electric Vehicles, you need to complete:
AURETH101 AUTM 678 Depower and reinitialise battery electric vehicles
AURETH102 AUTM 801 Inspect and maintain battery electric vehicles

Additional Information
You will need to wear appropriate personal protective clothing when in the CIT Automotive Workshops. These include:
- Overalls
- Long pants - cotton drill/jeans
- Leather safety boots EH (Electrical Hazard) rated
- Safety glasses
Entry Requirements
This skill set is for individuals with existing automotive technology skills and knowledge, who work in automotive mechanical or electrical technical contexts, and who are looking to upskill in the area of BEVs.
This skill set is limited to those who have completed one of the following qualifications:
- AUR30320 Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent
- AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
- AUR31120 Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
Skills Recognition
To study any course at CIT (excluding non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
Literacy Skills Information
We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework literacy levels of at least 3 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your course of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this course. If you do not have this level, you can still enrol and seek support to improve your skills or you may prefer to begin with the lower level course. Please visit Foundation Skills.
