Overview
This course will provide the skills and knowledge to recognise workplace health and safety risks and hazards appropriate, when working with crystalline silica containing products. You will be able to identify products containing crystalline silica, use products in accordance with legislation, and National standards, and identify the consequences of use and/or exposure to silica dust.

This course is delivered on campus, in class with an allocated trainer. Class duration is for four (4) hours only. You will be required to participate and complete in the course during the face-to-face delivery. |

We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework levels of at least 2 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your course of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this course. If you do not have this level, you can still enrol and seek support to improve your skills or you may prefer to begin with a lower level course, or enrol in the Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways (FSK20119) to develop your literacy skills.
