Overview

Sharpen your skills with this advanced DJ course. Club DJ Advanced is designed for students who have completed the Club DJ Fundamentals course or have previous DJ’ing experience, and want to take their DJ’ing skills to the next level. Topics include solving technical issues and improving audio file quality, beatmatching and mixing, using effects, scratching and finger drumming. Taught by an experienced and internationally renowned DJ, learn the advanced skills and techniques you need to work as a professional DJ in a club setting.

Duration:

9 weeks, 3 hours per class each week.
0 - 1 hours per week of additional practice time may be required.

Enrolment fees for this course are based on the costs per subject as indicated below. Subject costs identified as Full Fee receive no government subsidy. Concessions are not available. The fees below apply unless training as an apprentice or trainee.

Additional Information

Students will be required to bring their own set of DJ headphones.
Students will be expected to make time outside of class time to practice on the DJ equipment.

Entry Requirements

Open Entry.
Successful completion of ‘Club DJ Fundamentals’ or demonstrate equivalent skills and knowledge through an interview and/or portfolio.

Skills Recognition

To study any course at CIT (excluding non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

Literacy Skills Information

We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework levels of at least 2 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your course of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this course. If you do not have this level, you can still enrol and seek support to improve your skills or you may prefer to begin with a lower level course, or enrol in the Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways (FSK20119) to develop your literacy skills.       Description: The purpose of this subject is to further develop students in the art of DJ’ing. The subject is for students who have previously completed the Club DJ Fundamentals short course or who already have an appropriate level of DJ’ing experience.
