Study music performance and sound production

Enter the exciting world of music performance and sound production with a music course from CIT!

When you study music at CIT, you will learn to bring your creative visions to life and develop your technical skills using industry-standard music software and equipment, in custom-built facilities including professional sound recording studios and music rehearsal rooms.

CIT music performance and sound production students work together regularly on public events and projects, providing you with the opportunity to build relationships with other creatives and local music businesses. You will also develop your on-stage performance and live sound mixing skills with our live venue partners, which include iconic Canberra music venues and festivals.

Our highly experienced sound production and music teachers have strong networks in the local music industry and are active musicians and audio engineers themselves. Their passion for helping you grow to your full potential, combined with our nationally-recognised and industry-endorsed music training packages, will help you achieve the practical experience and theoretical grounding you need to build a long-term career in the music, sound and entertainment industry.
