Earn while you learn

Australia needs an additional 32,000 electricians and 6,000 air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics by 2030, and close to 2 million workers in building and engineering trades by 2050 to meet its national energy targets.7 Apprenticeships in these fields not only offer a pathway to a rewarding career but also the opportunity to earn while you learn.

As an apprentice or trainee, you'll work for an industry employer who will help you apply and develop your technical skills on the job while you are completing your qualification.

With a range of scholarships, subsidies, and incentives on offer, industry and government are making it easier to take part in future energy skills training, helping to diversify and grow the next generation of skilled energy trades.
