Career Advice

CIT offers free career advice to both prospective and current students. Our advisors are here to support you with information and guidance in line with your personal, professional, and educational interests.

Our career advisor can assist you with the following:

  • Exploring suitable CIT course pathways courses and providing detailed information, including entry requirements
  • Exploring potential career options
  • Planning pathways from college to CIT or from CIT to university
  • Support with job applications and resume writing (only available to current students and recent CIT graduates)

Appointments

Appointments are available face-to-face, online and by phone.

Before booking an appointment, it is a good idea to prepare so you can make the most out of your time with an advisor and gain maximum value.

  • For course, pathway and career planning, complete the myfuture career quiz. These activities help identify interests, values and skills, and view suggested occupations to explore career pathways.
    Go to: myfuture.edu.au to register then complete the My Career Profile.
  • For job applications, begin by looking at the SEEK resources and templates articles. If you then want help from an advisor, create a draft resume or cover letter that we can work on together.
