Build the leadership skills that make a real difference at work. In this course, you’ll learn how to harness the key skills of emotional intelligence and critical thinking. You’ll leave with practical tools to make decisions, manage people, and respond effectively in complex workplace situations.

Completing this statement of attainment will earn you two nationally recognised units of competency, which can contribute towards further study in several of CIT’s Leadership and Management qualifications.

Whether you are a current or emerging leader, or looking to strengthen your workplace communication and decision-making skills, this course provides practical, applied learning that can be immediately used in your role.

Duration:

Delivered over 5-7 weeks, with three full-day workshops from 9am-4:30pm on Monday 19 October, 2 November and 16 November.

Online attendance is available for workshops 1 and 2 (face-to-face attendance is required for workshop 3). Some assessment work is required in your own time, and you have up to two weeks to submit written assessments, after workshop 3.

Skills Recognition

To study any course at CIT (excluding non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

Literacy Skills Information

We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework literacy levels of at least 4 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your course of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this course. If you do not have this level, you can still enrol and seek support to improve your skills or you may prefer to begin with the lower level course. Please visit Foundation Skills.
