4) Terms and conditions of enrolment UNIQUE STUDENT IDENTIFIER If you have received an exemption from the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) or the Student Identifiers Registrar to provide a USI to CIT, you understand that your assessment results will not appear on your authenticated VET transcript or be available to you via the USI system.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS You have read and understood the entry and study requirements for the course that you wish to enrol into including the fees and costs involved, study duration and location of classes as stated on the relevant course page .
You understand that it is not the responsibility of CIT to notify you that you do not satisfy the pre-requisites and/or co-requisites for the course you have enrolled in. If you do not satisfy the pre-requisites and/or co-requisites. You may not be eligible to qualify for a refund of any fees paid.
By completing the enrolment process you are acknowledging that you meet the entry requirements for your selected course as they are listed on the CIT website course entry page.
PROOF OF IDENTITY You understand you are required to provide CIT Student Services with 100 points of ID as listed on the CIT Student ID Check Form within 7 days of enrolling at CIT. This ID can be provided to CIT Student Services at any location or via email at infoline@cit.edu.au . If your 100 points of ID is not provided in the required timeframe your enrolment may be cancelled.
RECORD KEEPING It is best practice for you to retain assessments, records of competencies or statements of attainment that you receive from your education provider.
PRIVACY NOTICE Why we collect your personal information : As a registered training organisation (RTO), we collect your personal information so we can process and manage your enrolment in a vocational education and training (VET) course with us. If you do not provide your personal information to CIT, you will not be able to enrol as a student.
How we use your personal information : We use your personal information to enable us to offer and deliver VET courses to you, which includes consulting and cooperating with other entities in relation to the provision of technical and further education to provide students with access to ICT applications and platforms including but not limited to Microsoft 365 and My eQuals and otherwise, as needed, to comply with our obligations as an RTO. The personal information on this form is being collected under the principles of the Information Privacy Act 2014 (ACT) to enable: processing of your enrolment; provision of your CITCard and associated services; the coordination of CIT support services; communication with students in relation to approved CIT activities; and, if applicable, assessment of your eligibility for a concession with Centrelink. If applicable CIT may use your personal information to assess your entitlement to Commonwealth assistance; and provide your personal information for allocation of a Commonwealth Higher Education Student Support Number (CHESSN) and national reporting to the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, Australian Tax Office (ATO) and the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) as authorised by the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (Cth) and the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (Cth). The information you provide may also be disclosed to the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies (ACTBSSS) as authorised by the Board of Senior Secondary Studies Act 1997 (ACT); the NSW Department of Education as authorised by the Education Act 2009 (NSW), for CIT to apply for and verify your Unique Student Identifier (USI) with NCVER as authorised by the Student Identifiers Act 2014 (Cth); if you are under the age of 17, for CIT to report to the ACT Education Directorate as authorised by the Education Act 2004 (ACT); and where required by law. How we disclose your personal information : We are required by law (under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cth) (NVETR Act)) to disclose the personal information we collect about you to the National VET Data Collection kept by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER). The NCVER is responsible for collecting, managing, analysing and communicating research and statistics about the Australian VET sector. We are also authorised by law (under the NVETR Act) to disclose your personal information to the relevant state or territory training authority who may disclose your personal information to other Australian Government agencies, including those located in States and Territories outside the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales. The relevant state training authority may use your personal information for any purpose relating to the exercise of their government functions, including but not limited to the evaluation and assessment of your training, the determination of your eligibility to receive subsidised training or for any Fee Exemptions or Concessions. If you have participated in government subsidised training, the relevant state training authority may contact you by telephone, email or post, during or after you have ceased subsidised training with CIT for the purposes of evaluation and assessing your subsidised training.
CIT may disclose your personal information provided and your training activity data to additional third parties, including:
School - if you are a secondary student undertaking VET, including a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship. Employer - if you are enrolled in training paid by your employer. How the NCVER and other bodies handle your personal information : The NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and the NVETR Act. Your personal information may be used and disclosed by NCVER for purposes that include populating authenticated VET transcripts; administration of VET; facilitation of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage; and understanding the VET market.
The NCVER is authorised to disclose information to the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR), Commonwealth authorities, State and Territory authorities (other than registered training organisations) that deal with matters relating to VET and VET regulators for the purposes of those bodies, including to enable: administration of VET; including course administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation; facilitation of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage; understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information. The NCVER may also disclose personal information to persons engaged by NCVER to conduct research on NCVER's behalf. The NCVER does not intend to disclose your personal information to any overseas recipients. Surveys: You may receive a student survey which may be run by CIT, CITSA, a government department or an NCVER employee, agent, third-party contractor or another authorised agency. Please note you may opt out of the survey at the time of being contacted.

ENROLMENT RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES You declare that to the best of your knowledge the information supplied is correct and complete. You have received your invoice and class timetable OR have provided an email address where you authorise for CIT to deliver them. By enrolling at CIT you agree to abide by CIT policies and the student rights and responsibilities as outlined in the CIT Student Code of Conduct and the Student Information Guide . You are aware of the CIT Complaints and Academic Appeals process and know you are able to access information regarding all policies on the CIT Policies website .
You understand that your enrolment will be cancelled if fees are not paid in full or you have not applied for a HELP loan, where eligible.
COMMONWEALTH ASSISTANCE NOTICE (CAN) By enrolling into a HELP Loan eligible course you agree to receive your Commonwealth Assistance Notice (if eligible) via your CIT Self Service account. You understand you need to keep your personal email account listed in the CIT Student Management System so you can receive your CAN.
MICROSOFT OFFICE 365 Once you have completed your enrolment into an eligible course, you will receive an email from CIT Student Account Status , this email will have all the information you need to set your password which is the trigger to issue you a Microsoft 365 licence.
AUSTRALIAN APPRENTICESHIP AUTHORISATION You authorise CIT to release details of your academic record to the Apprentice Connect Australia Provider, host employer indicated and to the relevant government directorate. You understand your academic records and, if necessary, information regarding outstanding student fees may be released to your employer for the purpose of monitoring your academic progress. You authorise CIT to release your academic work for the purpose of validation of assessment practices and judgements as required by the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cth). This activity is a quality review and is not intended to be used to adjust or make changes to assessment outcomes.
STUDENT DECLARATION AND CONSENT I declare that the information I have provided to the best of my knowledge is true and correct. I consent to the collection, use and disclosure of my personal information in accordance with the Privacy Notice above.
Do you expect to finish your course this semester? If yes, please go to CIT Self Service to check your name is correct and you have listed your personal email address as preferred. When you complete your qualification, you will be issued with a digital CIT Award within 30 days of your final pass grade being entered into the Student Management System (Banner). You will receive an email to confirm that your digital documents are available to access through the My eQuals portal.
