Allied Health Assistance course strengthens career

James started studying the Certificate IV Allied Health Assistance (HLT43015) at CIT as he plans to become a Physiotherapist. He chose the CIT course to gain experience in the industry and develop skills not only useful for the job, but in day-to-day life.
Currently working at the University of Canberra Hospital, mainly on the Stromlo (neurological rehabilitation) ward, James assists Physiotherapists with providing therapy to the patients on the ward and in the hospital gym.
"The Allied Health Assistance course really helped me adjust from school into work. The course was flexible, very hands on and practical which made the transition to a job easier. The course also helped me learn great communication skills, which are a vital part of the job when it comes to building relationships with patients," said James.
James really enjoys watching patients progress and helping them achieve their goals and finds his job very rewarding. James had a great experience at CIT with knowledgeable teachers who have helped him complete the Certificate IV Allied Health Assistance (HLT43015) and develop a career in the health sector.
