CIT stars at Floriade

CIT students and staff showed off their skills in cooking, floristry, landscape construction and horticulture.
If you are visiting Floriade look out for the nine beds of edible plants, herbs and vegetables and display garden designed and built by CIT's landscape and construction students and teachers.
Floristry students designed and created floral responses to music albums, to celebrate the Floriade 2022 theme 'Sounds of Spring' including Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence and Dire Strait's Brothers in Arms albums inspiring the talented florists.
Chef Joe Chen and CIT culinary students demonstrated how to make dumplings using ingredients from the kitchen garden. The team demonstrated how to cut radishes and beetroots into birds and flowers to really impress at your next dinner party!
Chef Dammika Hatharasingh and his students demonstrated the art of sugar blowing and created a masterpiece of the black swans of Lake Burley Griffin in sugar!
