Thank you for choosing CIT as your high risk work (HRW) licensing training provider. We offer a suite of high risk training programs for you or your staff delivered under nationally recognised units of competency. Successful completion will allow you to apply for a HRW licence from Worksafe ACT (CIT does not issue this licence). Group bookings welcome, please enquire below.
Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011, workers must not carry out specified classes of high risk work unless they hold a HRW licence or they are formally enrolled with a registered training organisation (RTO) and undergoing supervised training towards gaining a competency. All HRW licences must be renewed every five years. Please see the Worksafe ACT website for licensing requirements, guidelines and registrations
How to get a high risk work licence:

2.Check your eligibility for Training Fund Authority (TFA) rebates:
It is important to note the Training Fund Authority requires you to seek and obtain approval prior to you beginning a Training Fund Authority rebate nominated course.
Once you have registered with us, visit the Training Fund Authority website to check your eligibility and apply.
3.Complete our training and apply for a licence:
Upon successful completion of your training at CIT you will receive a Statement of Attainment for your accredited course or unit of competency.
