Overview
This course provides fundamental skills in Networking, Networked Operating Systems, and computer hardware including maintenance. You will be introduced to virtual and physical environments and use a range of industry technologies, and safe working practices.
The program engages learners with the CISCO Network Academy, and you learn how to create a peer-to-peer network incorporating wired and virtual networked environments, including network protocols, and packet tracing.
It will enable you to have a clear understanding of IP Addressing, Active Directory Infrastructure, group policies, and disaster recovery and backup.
You will also gain an understanding of how computers function, computer components, and hands-on experience in computer maintenance and upgrades.
Completion of the statement of attainment provides all relevant technical skills and knowledge to allow students to undertake the Certificate IV in Information Technology and will assist students to choose a specialist pathway.
