Overview

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to administer and manage Information Communication Technology (ICT) support in a small to medium enterprise using a wide range of IT technologies. It is designed to strengthen and build on your current experiences enabling you to compete complex IT tasks and further develop skills to lead and manage IT projects in Programming and Networking.

The Programming stream develops intermediate and advanced programming skills to design and construct advanced user interfaces addressing organisational requirements, including website information architecture and data analysis.

Duration:

This qualification can be completed in two (2) semesters (approx. 20 hours per week for 16 weeks) full-time, or part-time equivalent, of intensive delivery.

It is expected that you will spend approximately the same number of hours in private study to practice skills and apply new knowledge.

Additional Information

You may be required to pay for associated study materials. Concession holders get 50% off subject fees. Fee Assistance and payment plans are available. Eligible students can apply for a VET Student Loan to cover course fees, repayable through the Australian Taxation System once your income reaches the threshold.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, however, it is recommended that you have evidence to demonstrate you have completed the following:

  1. Certificate IV in Information Technology or other relevant qualification
  2. Demonstrated vocational experience in a range of work environments, specifically using IT networking technologies.

To study any course at CIT (excluding non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

Literacy Skills Information

We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework literacy levels of at least 3 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your course of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this course.
