"Participating in the Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety course at CIT helped me to address safety issues working as a chef at a school camp. My supervisor is confident that I can cover the safety concerns around young students including diets (including anaphylaxis situations), commercial kitchen work related risks, and emergency management. Since completing my Certificate IV, I've received a promotion to Catering Manager. At CIT, we used real workplace WHS examples to help us learn. Class discussions helped us understand the WHS legislation and regulations with the scope to be able to apply them to our individual industries.
