Ryka Moore - Massage
Ryka has strong drive to help the people of Canberra move better with less pain while training the workforce of the future
Ryka grew up in Canberra and knew that he wanted to pursue a career that involved the human body from an early age. He initially enrolled to become a high-school teacher, but changed majors to graduate with a degree in applied science. Since then, he has never stopped the process of learning and studying.
Ryka has worked a variety of jobs, including selling books, teaching swimming and even being a barista. Standing out among the many highlights of his career, was when he was selected to work in Germany with a leading research company for a year. After a change in career direction, he has been helping the people of Canberra move better with less pain as a dual qualified osteopath and remedial massage therapist.
In 2008, Ryka started working at CIT and has taught across a number of programs, with a consistent input and presence within the massage course. Ryka enjoys the process of teaching and solving problems. He finds the reward of teaching requires patience, dedication and commitment. A common gratifying experience for Ryka is when he is reunited with former students and learns of their achievements.
