Tim Duck - Music
With qualifications across music production and business, Tim Duck is an energetic and passionate teacher of audio production classes across the media, sound and music courses at the CIT Music Industry Centre. He currently teaches audio fundamentals, radio, studio and live sound, location sound, and audio post-production.
Tim is a highly sought after audio engineer with a diverse skill set spanning studio recording and mixing, production and post-production sound for film and video, live sound and event production management. He has been managing his own business 'Versed Productions' since 2009, which offers event management and audio production services. He can also be found regularly working on film projects, either out on location or in the studio.
Tim is currently a sound engineer at Infidel Studios with a passion for rock and metal. He has engineered music releases for bands including Looking Glass, The VeeBees, Hellbringer, Freddie McLennan, Pleased to Jive You, Life and Limb, and Tonight Alright. In addition to teaching and working in audio and media, Tim is an experienced event manager.
Tim has been the director of the Canberra Comedy Festival since its inception in 2013, which he played a large role in founding. He manages Canberra comedy collective 'Comedy ACT' and runs comedy rooms across the Canberra region, in addition to regularly organising and producing gigs and live sound for a variety of other events.
His diverse background across sound and events together with his wide networks has established Tim as someone who teaches the practical skills and industry know-how to build a long-term career in audio and media.
