Come and experience Canberra’s leading vocational education and training provider and explore the study options that can help you take your next step. Whether you’re finishing school, looking to advance your skills or considering a career change, this is your opportunity to explore your options, meet our teachers and see our state-of-the-art facilities in action.

With activities across both CIT Bruce and CIT Woden, you’ll have the chance to explore our courses and facilities and see what it is like to be a CIT student at each campus.

Speak directly with CIT teachers and student support staff to learn more about your course options and career pathways. If you find the right course, you can even enrol on the day.

    • Everyone is welcome! Whether you’re a high school student, parent, career changer or just curious about what CIT has to offer – this event is for you.

  • Do I need to register to attend?

    • Yes, we encourage you to register so we can keep you updated about the event and help you make the most of your visit. Registration is quick and free.

  • Where is CIT Open Day being held?

    • CIT Open Day will take place across two campuses:

      • CIT Bruce
      • CIT Woden

      You can choose to attend one campus or visit both!

  • What can I do on the day?

    • There’s lots happening, including:

      • Campus tours

      • Opportunities to speak directly with teachers and students

      Whether you're catching a bus, hopping on light rail, or using active travel like walking, cycling or scooting, you can use Transport Canberra’s Journey Planner to find the best route.

      Getting to CIT Bruce campus from major town centres

      • City: R2, R3 and R4 provide direct services to Bruce with a short walk to the CIT campus.
      • Belconnen: R2, R3, R4 and R9 provide direct services to Bruce with a short walk to the CIT campus.
      • Gungahlin: R8 connects to R2, R3 and R4 services to Bruce. The local bus service 23 also provides close access to Bruce, with a short walk to the CIT campus.
      • Woden and Tuggeranong: R4 provides direct access to Bruce, with a short walk to the CIT campus.

      Getting to CIT Woden campus from major town centres

      • City: R4 and R5 provide direct services to Woden.
      • Belconnen: R4 provides direct services to Woden. Alternatively, R2 and R3 provides direct access to the city, where you can transfer at the City Bus Interchange for services to Woden (see above for City services).
      • Gungahlin: The light rail offers a direct and easy connection to the city, where you can transfer at the City Bus Interchange for services to Woden (see above for City services).
      • Woden: Walking distance to the campus!
      • Tuggeranong: R4 provides direct access to Woden.

  • Photography and video

    • A photographer and videographer will be onsite during the event taking photographs and videos of Open Day activities and the crowd including small groups.

      By entering the event site, you consent to being included in any photography or videography taken at this event, and used, without permission by CIT.

      For close up shots, signed consent will be requested.

      Images and footage may be used in promotional material such as websites, social media and videos.
