Overdues and Banner holds

Library borrowers are responsible for returning or renewing library items by their due date. Students with items more than 7 days overdue will have a 'Library hold' placed on their Banner record. The Library hold is removed once all items are returned or the replacement cost is paid.

A 'Library hold' prevents a student from:

  • Borrowing and further library loans
  • Graduating and accessing their academic transcript

Lost or Damaged Items

Library borrowers are liable for the cost to replace items that are lost or damaged.  GST will be added to the replacement fee.

Interlibrary loans

Staff and student can request items held by other Australian libraries for a fee.

Reciprocal and Community members

CIT Library has reciprocal agreements with other Australian educational institutions. Students and staff from these institutions may be able to borrow from the CIT Library. Community members may join the CIT Library for an annual fee.

Contact your CIT Library for further information.
