Massage
Studying massage therapy at CIT gives you the practical skills and knowledge to work confidently as a health professional, delivering client assessments and massage treatments that support musculoskeletal mobility, soft-tissue function and overall well-being for your clients.
CIT’s massage courses are taught by experienced industry practitioners and cover a broad range of hands-on skills in muscular assessment, posture and movement analysis, relaxation and remedial massage techniques, and a strong foundation in soft tissue anatomy and physiology. At diploma level, you’ll also develop the skills to provide massage therapy for special populations including sports and pregnancy massage techniques.
You’ll complete your training in the CIT Fit & Well Massage Clinic, where you’ll assess and treat real clients from the community alongside your teachers and peers. This clinical experience allows you to refine your practical massage skills while building confidence in professional communication, work health safety, infection control and the legal and ethical responsibilities of the massage industry.
CIT massage courses can help you open doors to a wide range of employment opportunities, including private massage clinics, home based or mobile practices, rehabilitation and health centres, health retreats, and multidisciplinary settings alongside physiotherapists, osteopaths, and chiropractors. There are also opportunities to work with sporting organisations and clubs supporting athletes at all levels.
