Overview
This course provides introductory knowledge and skills for those working in a broad range of industries who as part of their job role contribute to cyber security threat assessments and cyber security risk management.
You will apply a broad set of skills and knowledge to engage with assessment of cyber threats to an organisation and the management of the identified threats, across a broad range of industries.
To achieve BSBSS00093 Cyber Security Threat Assessment and Risk Management Skill Set you will need to complete the following units:
- BSBXCS403 Contribute to cyber security threat assessments
- BSBXCS404 Contribute to cyber security risk management

Training will be undertaken face to face in CIT’s specialised Cyber laboratory and Training Security Operation Centre (TSOC) at the CIT Reid campus. Training will be completed over 2 weeks (10 days) for a total of 40 hours. There is the expectation that you will complete up to 20 hours of independent additional study and assessment preparation |

Entry Requirements
Open Entry
There are no formal entry requirements or prerequisite units required for entry into this program. Prior IT and/or networking experience or knowledge is not required, however, will be an advantage.
Skills Recognition
To study any course at CIT (excluding non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
Literacy Skills Information
We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework literacy levels of at least 3 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your course of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this course. If you do not have this level, you can still enrol and seek support to improve your skills or you may prefer to begin with the lower level course. Please visit Foundation Skills.
