You will apply a broad set of skills and knowledge to engage with assessment of cyber threats to an organisation and the management of the identified threats, across a broad range of industries.

Duration:

Training will be undertaken face to face in CIT’s specialised Cyber laboratory and Training Security Operation Centre (TSOC) at the CIT Reid campus. Training will be completed over 2 weeks (10 days) for a total of 40 hours.

There is the expectation that you will complete up to 20 hours of independent additional study and assessment preparation

There are no formal entry requirements or prerequisite units required for entry into this program. Prior IT and/or networking experience or knowledge is not required, however, will be an advantage.

Skills Recognition

Literacy Skills Information

We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework literacy levels of at least 3 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your course of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this course. It applies to those working in a broad range of industries who as part of their job role contribute to assessments of level of risk relating to real and potential cyber security breaches. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
