Industry/Business Hair and Beauty Bar at CIT
The Hair and Beauty Bar at CIT is a salon open to the general public and staffed by supervised apprentices and full-time students who work in industry.
You can enjoy a wide range of services including semi, demi and permanent hair colouring, style cuts, conditioning treatments and blow-dries. We use leading treatment products including Dermalogica, Ultraceuticals and De Lorenzo.
Pamper yourself with our range of body treatments, massage, facials, body-wraps, manicures and pedicures and waxing treatments.
Our salon is Sustainable Salons Australia accredited, which means we successfully recycle 95% of all salon waste. We are committed to ensuring environmentally responsible salon practices and embedding sustainability values into our curriculum. The Hair and Beauty Bar now charges a $3 green fee with all hair and beauty services.

Please note: Salon is open during school terms only
Students and apprentices will be providing your services under supervision, in well-equipped salons. Hence you may need to allow yourself longer time for your appointment.

To book an appointment:
- Contact our Hair and Beauty Bar reception staff on (02) 6207 3246 or email cithairandbeauty@cit.edu.au to book. You can submit your booking online and your request will be confirmed either by phone or email. Online bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance
- Fill in client waiver form for Beauty (PDF 157Kb) or Hairdressing (PDF 146Kb).
- Email waiver form to cithairandbeauty@cit.edu.aubefore your appointment.
Services offered are often part of student assessment. If you are late or unable to make it to your appointment, let us know so your appointment can be rescheduled. CIT Hair and Beauty can then offer this time to another client and the student can still complete their assessment.
If you are requiring a chemical service, please allow the entire session time to allow students to complete the service.
