Apprentice Connect Australia Providers (formerly named Apprenticeship Network Providers)

Apprentice Connect Australia Providers are non-government organisations contracted by the Australian Government to provide Australian Apprenticeship Support Services to Australian Apprentices (apprentices and trainees) and employers. They help to get things started by facilitating the sign up of an Australian Apprenticeship Training Contract and provide free advice and support services throughout an apprenticeship or traineeship.

All apprentices and trainees need to have an approved Australian Apprenticeship Training Contract before enrolling in a qualification at CIT. The employer should contact an Apprentice Connect Australia Provider to arrange the signing of a Training Contract.

Apprentice Connect Australia Providers can also:

  • explain the Australian Apprenticeship system and outline each parties' roles, responsibilities, and obligations
  • help to find an apprentice, trainee, or employer
  • assist in selection of an appropriate qualification
  • assist in selection and nomination of a registered training organisation (RTO) to deliver the training
  • check eligibility and assist with claims for Government apprenticeship support programs and financial payments (including wage subsidies and financial incentives). For details on the types of financial support available, check here for apprentices and trainees or employers
  • provide access to mentoring and tailored personalised support services to better support apprentices, trainees, and employers to finish an Australian Apprenticeship

There are a range of Apprentice Connect Australia Providers in each state and territory across Australia. You may have a choice between a Generalist Provider or a Specialist Provider in some regions. A Generalist Provider will deliver support services to all apprentices and employers. Specialist Providers have been introduced to deliver support services specifically tailored to Women in male-dominated trades, First Nations Australian Apprentices, or Australian Apprentices working towards clean energy occupations.
