Statement of Attainment training in 3D Models of Building Designs

Overview

This course is for those looking to extend their building design project experience in the use of producing three-dimensional (3D) models using Autodesk Revit ®. Specifically for small-scale building designs covered by the Building Code of Australia (BCA), except construction Type A buildings.

It incorporates building information modelling (BIM) and rendered animation walk-throughs of both residential and commercial projects.

Qualification:

Statement of Attainment - training in 3D Models of Building Designs

Next Intake:

Semester 2 2024

Course No:

SA-TS77

Campus:

CIT Bruce

Duration:

The Statement of Attainment consists of three units of competency. To obtain the Statement of Attainment all three units must be completed.
CPPBDN5101 - Produce digital 3-D models of building designs 17 weeks 3 hours per week
CPPBDN5111 - Produce rendered animations of 3-D models of small-scale building designs 9 weeks 3 hours per week
CPPBDN6106 - Produce building information modelling for building design projects 17 weeks 3 hours per week

Cost Info:

Enrolment fees for this course are based on the costs per subject as indicated below. The total course cost may vary depending on the choice of elective subjects or if subjects are attempted more than once. Subject costs identified as Standard are partially subsidised by the ACT Government. Concessions may be available to eligible students.

Indicative Cost:

Standard fee $720

Timetable Information

To help with the enrolment process print your timetable, or keep the window open, so that you can refer back to it for your course code, course name, and the Course Reference Numbers (CRNs) or Block Code.

Additional Information

Students will need access to their own Windows computer with sufficient memory to meet the requirements of the Unit of Competency being studied.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for CPPBDN5101 - Produce digital 3-D models of building designs however CPPBDN5101 must be successfully completed to enroll in either CPPBDN5111 - Produce digital 3-D models of building designs and/or CPPBDN6106 - Produce digital 3-D models of building designs.
(You will need to collect and retain confirmed evidence of any entry requirements if stated)

Skills Recognition

To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

Transition Information

Qualifications at CIT are regularly updated or replaced to meet current industry needs and maximise your employment opportunities. If this occurs while you are part way through a qualification, you may need to vary your learning to meet the new national requirements. CIT will aim to make this as smooth as possible for you.
