You will learn the skills and knowledge to work in the building and construction industry to plan, manage, and oversee building projects.
This course develops your skills in managing construction schedules and budgets, administering contracts, and coordinating site operations.
You will gain knowledge of building codes and standards, workplace health and safety management, quality assurance, environmental sustainability, and risk management.
You will also build leadership and communication skills needed to supervise teams and to liaise with clients and stakeholders.

3 (17 week) semesters full-time (approx. 15 hours per week) or part-time equivalent face-to-face and online training.
Classes run 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday evenings) for 3-4 hours per class.
3 semesters full-time. Classes are face-to-face (F2F), 5:30-8:30pm, with some afternoons required (2-5pm). Some subjects are delivered via a mix of face to face (F2F), self-paced online learning (OL) and online webinars. |

You must bring a laptop to class. We strongly recommend you use a Windows based device because the software used as part of the training at CIT is Windows compatible.
If you choose to use a Mac or another operating system may need to install additional software, such as virtualisation or compatibility software, to access and use the required training software. Any additional software, licensing, or setup costs associated with using a non‑Windows device will be your responsibility.
Entry Requirements
You must complete a Language Literacy Numeracy and Digital (LLND) test and achieve a level 4 score.
We recommend that you have access to a construction workplace to provide the experiences to consolidate the learning you will undertake.
Skills Recognition
To study any course at CIT (excluding non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
Literacy Skills Information
We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework literacy levels of at least 4 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your course of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this course.
