Study Children's Education and Care at CIT (0-5 years)
Working with children as an early childhood educator is one of the most valuable and rewarding professions a person can choose. Families are looking for trained early childhood educators who have an understanding of best practice and quality care to support the development and care of their children.

Early Childhood Education and Care
CIT's courses in early childhood education and care allow students to learn about children (from 0-5 years) through observation, discussion and practical experience, to learn and develop interpersonal skills and team work strategies; to gain an understanding of child development and behaviour; and to gain skills and abilities in caring for children.
CIT's early childhood education and care courses include mandatory professional placement in early childhood services. These placements will be organised for you by CIT and provide students the opportunity to practice what they learn in the classroom.
The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care provides you with the knowledge and skills to assist in the planning and learning environments and experiences for young children in early childhood services, as well as provide for their physical and emotional care.
The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care provides you with the opportunity to lead teams, manage, design, and implement programs for children in early childhood services.
Study Education Support at CIT (Preschool to Year 12)
Start a rewarding career as a learning support assistant, working with children who have additional needs in the classroom environment. As a learning support assistant you will contribute greatly to the learning and development of children during the school years. Our graduates are sought after in the Canberra region as professional and knowledgeable supports to classroom teachers of children preschool to year 12.
Education Support
CIT's courses in education support provide you with the skills to assist in the observation, planning, implementing and evaluation of learning for children with additional needs. You will also learn about working effectively in the demanding school sector, team work, and organising resources to support the learning of children with additional needs.
The Certificate III in Education Support provides you with the knowledge and skills to successfully promote inclusive practices and provide reasonable adjustments to those requiring additional support in the classroom environment.
The Certificate IV in Education Support provides you with the opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge about specific disabilities while learning about the skills needed to implement the most effective inclusion and educational strategies to build on children's learning. You will develop professional skills and abilities so as to become a competent and reflective educator, and highly valued team member.
