NAIDOC – 50 Years of Deadly

National NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each year to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year’s theme, 50 years of Deadly, celebrates five decades of honouring and elevating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices, culture and achievements. It recognises the Elders, leaders and communities who have shaped the movement, celebrates the strength and resilience of First Nations peoples today, and looks ahead to a future led by the next generation.
