Kitchen Hand

Little Penguins Early Learning Centre is seeking a Kitchen Hand for our Early Childhood centre. We are seeking an experienced assistant chef/ cook/ kitchen hand who is passionate about preparing fresh and wholesome meals for children.  This is a permanent part-time role, working Monday to Friday with working hours negotiable.

The successful applicant will;

  • Have experience and passion for cooking healthy and nutritious meals
  • Have a current working with children's check
  • Have an understanding of the importance allergies and intolerance management
  • Be reliable, motivated and enthusiastic member of the Team
  • Have great time management skills

You will be responsible for;

  • Assist in preparing healthy and nutritious meals on time for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for babies and children each day, including the preparation of purees and special diet meals
  • Ensuring the food prep areas are effectively cleaned, sterilised and operate according to our food safety program.

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Motivation to learn, develop and grow
