Published: 04 Oct 2018

Naidoc Week

CIT Yurauna and CITSA warmly invite all staff, students and members of the public to get involved in the celebrations of NAIDOC Week.

NAIDOC Week celebrations are held around Australia every year during July.

CIT Yurauna will be celebrating NAIDOC Week at 12pm on Wednesday 17 October in the quadrangle at CIT Reid. This gives the opportunity for staff and students to be a part of this celebration. NAIDOC Week is about celebrating the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year's theme is 'Because of Her, We can!'

What's happening?

  • Didgeridoo performances
  • Basket weaving
  • Indigenous book club, supported by the library.
  • Performances by the Wiradjuri Echoes

The CIT Bruce library will also be supporting CIT's NAIDOC Week and the Indigenous Literacy Foundation with an Indigenous Book Group event from 12pm. See media release for more information
