Pacific forces hone their forensic skills at CIT

Police squads from seven nations in the Pacific region attended CIT to learn the latest skills and techniques in forensics.

The law enforcement came to CIT for two weeks to upskill in crime scene investigation training delivered in a partnership between the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and CIT.

Head of the CIT forensics department, Kym Turnbull, says police forces from around the world learn at CIT or through CIT because of the leading-edge facilities and knowledge of specialist staff.

"Australia is up there with the best in the world when it comes to forensic practices. And with our fully-equipped Crime Scene House, CIT has some of the best facilities in the world," she said.
