Digital Photo Practice (Capture) - Apply photo imaging lighting techniques CUAPHI402

This short course is designed to teach you the fundamentals of digital image capture using a DSLR or mid-range ‘mirrorless’ digital camera. Classes will be an integrated mix of theory and practical, with a combination of classroom sessions and location workshops, so that you can apply what you’ve learnt and improve your skills. You will be required to complete assigned work in your own time that will be critiqued in class.

Successful completion of this short course provides credit for the equivalent unit in the Certificate IV in Photography and Photo Imaging (CUA4115).

Digital Photo Practice (Lighting) - Capture Photographic images CUAPHI302

Learn the fundamentals of studio lighting in a professional photography studio with high-end studio flash equipment. Classes are workshop based with integrated theory and practical, where you will learn a range of typical portraiture techniques and styles. You will need a DSLR or mid-range 'mirrorless' digital camera and have either completed the Digital Photo Practice (Capture) short course or similar, in order to get the most out of this short course.

Successful completion of this short course provides credit for the equivalent unit in the Certificate IV in Photography and Photo Imaging (CUA4115).

Digital Photo Editing (Lightroom) - Enhance, manipulate and output photo images CUAPHI403

Adobe Lightroom is an industry-standard software package used to optimise, modify, output and archive image files. In this short course you will learn a range of image correction and enhancement techniques to transform your photographs and output to final prints or as online published books. This short course can be completed separately or in conjunction with either or both the Digital Photo Practice (Capture) and Digital Photo Practice (Lighting) short courses.

Successful completion of this short course provides credit for the equivalent unit in the Certificate IV in Photography and Photo Imaging (CUA4115).
