Bar Service Short Course
This course is designed for people who would like to work in bartending positions in restaurants, bars, cafes, hotels and clubs. This is a five week course delivered at CIT Reid K Block, which includes the Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA) SITHFAB201.
The Bar Service short course will provide you with practical skills including bar opening/closing procedures, preparation of mixed drinks, basic cocktail making skills, garnish preparation, beer pouring from beer taps, hot beverages, drink waiting, cashiering, and aspects of customer service.
Successful completion of this course achieves the qualification Statement of Attainment - training in Bar Service [extract from SIT30713]. For more information click here.

^Course cost includes the RSA certificate. If you already hold a current ACT RSA certificate or are on an eligible Centrelink payment, you may receive a discount.
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) SITHFAB201 certification is a mandatory requirement for anyone employed to serve liquor in the ACT. The course is run over 1 session (4 hours).

After enrolling online, you will be issued with an invoice which can be paid online.
Payment for course fees can also be made in person at CIT Student Services at CIT Reid, CIT Gungahlin and CIT Tuggeranong. We accept EFTPOS payments by debit/credit card.
