This short course is designed for you to build a social media presence within a small business. It will provide you with the tools to understand and use social media, to enhance customer engagement and market a business.
It will provide a range of skills and knowledge to:
- Prepare and use content for social media
- Enhance customer engagement
- Promote a business
- Engage and respond to a variety of customers through the use of social media platforms

|This short online course will be delivered over seven (7) weeks. You will be required to participate up to five (5) hours per week to complete this course. Your learning will be supported by your teacher throughout the course, these will be scheduled at the beginning of this unit.|

Delivery is online and you will be required to download and use Facebook to complete the assessments required. You will not need to use your Facebook page, rather just use it as a link to a private group page along with viewing other business pages. While this course is delivered online it is not a self-paced course. You will be directed to complete weekly tasks. You will have support available from the teacher.
To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
Literacy Skills Information
We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework levels of at least 2 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your program of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this program. If you do not have this level, you can still enrol and seek support to improve your skills or you may prefer to begin with a lower level program, or enrol in the Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways (FSK20119) to develop your literacy skills.
