Overview

This course provides refresher training for students who already hold a SMARTtrain card or equivalent card or one that has expired by no more than six months to enable them to have their card renewed for a further five years. Refresher training covers the preparation and application of liquid chemical mixes and/or granular products for control or weeds, pests and disease across a range of industry sectors. It also covers safe transport, handling and storage of liquid and dry chemical formulations.

Additional Information

This program meets the requirements for formal training in pesticide application within NSW. On successful completion of the program you will be eligible to apply for an update of your SMARTtrain Certificate, which will be valid for a further 5 years. You will need to purchase the SMARTtrain Chemical Application (Level 3) Assessment Guide and Reference Manual (cost approx $100) and you need to wear clothing suitable for manual outdoor work.

You must
- hold a current SMARTtrain card (or equivalent card) OR a card that has expired by no more than six months.

To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
