Overview

In this course you will learn skills and knowledge in computer aided design (CAD) practices for basic engineering drawings that can be applied across a range of engineering and manufacturing environments.
You will learn about how the engineering draftsperson works in industry using industry terminology and by participating in foundation workplace requirements of professional communication.

1 semester part time (approximately 3 hours per week) or part time equivalent.
Face to face classes.
Additionally, you will be expected to complete approximately 2 hours per week individual study.

Literacy Skills Information

We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework literacy levels of at least 3 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your course of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this course.
