This program provides an introduction to working in the health care sector. The focus is on preparing people to work in nursing or healthcare and provides a study pathway into relevant qualifications.

1 semester part time approx. 6 hours per week In addition to scheduled classes, students will require between 2-4 hours per week to complete individual learning tasks, such as personal research, self-directed learning, practice and revision, assessment items and on line activities. Entry Requirements
On entry, you will require a letter from a General Practitioner stating fitness to participate in the simulated health care learning environment located on campus.
To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
Literacy Skills Information
We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework literacy levels of at least 4 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your program of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this program. If you do not have this level, you can still enrol and seek support to improve your skills or you may prefer to begin with the lower level program. Please visit Foundation Skills.
