Overview

This Skill Set is for vocational trainers and assessors who need to integrate foundation skill into their training program. These units are designed to build the capacity of the trainer to incorporate and contextualise foundations skills to the vocational qualification they are delivering thus building the ability of the learner to the required ACSF* level of the industry.

The skill set addresses planning, designing and addressing language, literacy numeracy and digital (LLND) approaches for vocational learning.

Flexible delivery. 1 Semester part time (approximately 4 hours per week of online study) plus 1 face to face getting started session of 2 hours.

The 2023 Semester 1 enrolment fees for this course are based on the costs per subject as indicated below. The total course cost may vary depending on the choice of elective subjects or if subjects are attempted more than once. Subject costs identified as Standard are partially subsidised by the ACT Government. Concessions may be available to eligible students.

Entry Requirements

You will need to have access to Vocational Learners and have TAE40116 or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, including TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills

To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

      Description: This unit describes the skills and knowledge that vocational trainers and assessors need to access resources, which include collaboration with foundation skills specialists, in order to integrate foundation skills into a vocational training program.

  • TAELLN413   Integrate foundation skills into vocational training delivery
    • CIT Code: TRNG353
      Description: This unit describes the skills and knowledge that vocational trainers need to identify the foundation skills requirements that are critical to vocational competence within a vocational training specification. It covers how to plan, design and address those requirements using integrated approaches.
