Overview
The qualification reflects the roles of training developers and instructional designers who are responsible for analysing training needs and designing training solutions and products to meet workplace capability requirements, and evaluating the effectiveness of training courses. They may have a role in providing guidance and advice to trainers and assessors, promoting innovative practices, e.g. e-learning, and in researching and incorporating best practice in training and assessment into training courses and products.

Skills Recognition
Entry Requirements
It is expected that learners will have access to a real or simulated work environment to demonstrate competency.
Learners will have achieved the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or TAE40116 for future offerings) and have experience in training and assessment roles within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or a similar organisation where the focus has been on competency based training;
or
have achieved another relevant qualification and experience in training and assessment roles within an RTO or a similar organisation where the focus has been on competency based training and assessment;
or
have experience in training and assessment roles.
Attend a Pre-course interview - half an hour.
To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
Literacy Skills Information
We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework literacy levels of at least 3 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your course of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this course.
