Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for any of the Certificates in General Education for Adults, however your skills will be assessed on entry to advise you on the best starting point for your learning journey.

Important information for students, parents and careers of persons under the age of 17

  • CIT is an adult learning environment and students need to be 16 years of age to attend classes on campus.
  • Students still in Year 10 need to provide a referral from their school or case worker.
  • CIT works with the ACT Education Directorate keeping it informed about students under 17.
  • New enrolments accepted into this course can start at the beginning of each term at CIT Bruce campus.

To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

Transition Information

Qualifications at CIT are regularly updated or replaced to meet current industry needs and maximise your employment opportunities. If this occurs while you are part way through a qualification, you may need to vary your learning to meet the new national requirements. CIT will aim to make this as smooth as possible for you.
