This course is designed for adults with a mild intellectual disability, who have completed compulsory schooling within the past 2-5 years. In this course you will develop your literacy, numeracy and general education skills, to access study pathways, employment or voluntary community participation. There are limited places available so entry is not guaranteed; applicants will be assessed for suitability through an interview process and testing.
This program runs over 3 half days a week and can be completed in one semester.

Additional Information
This course can be tailored to suit individual learner needs but students need to have basic literacy and numeracy skills and some independence to be able to engage with the course and manage the adult learning environment at CIT. Every student will have an individual interview and skills assessment and develop a learning plan before enrolling. Contact the CIT Pathways College or apply online.

Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for any of the Certificates in General Education for Adults, however your skills will be assessed on entry to advise you on the best starting point for your successful learning journey.
To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
Transition Information
Qualifications at CIT are regularly updated or replaced to meet current industry needs and maximise your employment opportunities. If this occurs while you are part way through a qualification, you may need to vary your learning to meet the new national requirements. CIT will aim to make this as smooth as possible for you.
