Working in a small production team you will crew on a variety of short films and produce segments for one our own reality TV shows.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of contexts in the film, television, radio and digital media industries. They apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.

The 2020 Semester 1 enrolment fees for this course are based on the costs per subject as indicated below. The total program cost may vary depending on the choice of elective subjects or if subjects are attempted more than once.

Costs identified as Apprentice or Trainee apply only to students studying as part of an Australian Apprenticeship arrangement. The qualification cost for an Apprentice or Trainee is subsidised by the ACT Government. Concessions may be available to eligible Apprentices or Trainees.

Additional Information
Students will be required to purchase a Media Production crew shirt approximate cost $40. Students will also require an external hard drive and headphones, these can be bought once the course has started if you would like advice on suitable brands. Students will have access to a wide range of CIT equipment for productions.
Upon successful completion of the Certificate IV in Screen and Media, students can progress into the Diploma in Screen and Media.
Entry Requirements / How to Apply
Successful completion of the Certificate III in Screen and Media or completion of an interview where you can demonstrate industry experience, study or practical experience sufficient to meet the demands of the Certificate IV course. You will also need to demonstrate proficiency with setting up camera and audio equipment.
To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

Literacy Skills Information
We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework literacy levels of at least 3 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your program of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this program.
