CIT Events Final Project Offers Comedy for a Cause

Published: 06 Nov 2015

As the end of year exams approach, not many students are laughing - with the exception of 10 CIT Events students who will TONIGHT host a comedy event for a cause for their final assessment.

The students have mustered all their skills learnt through the CIT Diploma of Events to pull together some of Australia's best loved comedy talent, including Rob Shehadie and Tahir of (Pizza and Fat Pizza fame) along with magician and illusionist Brendan Mon Tanner for the event.

Around 150 members of the public have purchased a ticket to be part of tonight’s Laugh for Life charity event for Camp Quality, and ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr MLA has thrown his support behind the cause, donating $2,000 on behalf of the ACT Government to the charity in support of the students' event.

Project team member Kayla Fallace says the project has been hard work, but beats an exam paper.

"We are extremely happy with how everything's come together, and we are just excited for everyone coming along to have some fun. It feels better knowing we're also raising money for an important cause," she says.

Tickets are available at the door for $55 per person.
