Summary:In this course you will refine and extend your abilities at developing design concepts and also work on more complex design projects. You will collaborate and work in teams, develop negotiation and organisational abilities in order to establish effective work practices for production of work. You will develop a wide-ranging command of highly specialised technical, creative and conceptual abilities and knowledge in visual communication. You may produce work in traditional print design, digital media design or both. Projects may include corporate branding, packaging design, publication design, web graphics, websites, 2D animations and a public exhibition of your work. Real industry experience (placements) are encouraged and supported with local industry. This is a full time course, based on assignments, industry visits and deadlines to replicate the working environment.

You may choose to specialise in print design or digital media design (or both, through extra study).

Entry Advice:  You must
- have completed the Diploma of Graphic Design or an equivalent qualification
OR
- demonstrate advanced visual design skills and knowledge by presenting a portfolio at interview demonstrating graphic design skills at the diploma level.
Availability:
Additional Information:  The Advanced Diploma as offered at CIT, allows you to focus either in print based design or digital media design via your elective choices. There is enough commonality in the first year of the course however, for you to have experienced both. You may elect to extend your studies and complete both options by completing subject from both print design and digital media design.
Credit Transfer:  The Advanced Diploma provides credit into:
