"The Asian culture is very quiet and we are taught from a very early age just to sit and listen. When I started my CIT course it took me a while to come out of my shell and to actually ask questions and interact with the class. This is now the best part.
"Right now we are learning about the reproductive habits of the rhinoceros. It's so amazing to learn about how science can help endangered species.
"There are shorter courses out there for people and I am sure they could learn at an accelerated pace but I felt I wanted to learn at a slower pace and this really helped since English is my second language."
