Bruce Campus Residence
The New Campus Residence has been built in a semi-bush environment and is located on the northside of Canberra City in the grounds of the Canberra Institute of Technology's (CIT’s) Bruce Campus.
The residence is a five-minute walk from classrooms, canteen, library and International Student Office.
It is also only a 15-minute walk to:
- an established local shopping centre
- Australian Institute of Sport (where Olympians train)
- the Canberra Raiders rugby league training facility
- Westfield shopping centre in the suburb of Belconnen
and many other sport, leisure and entertainment clubs and centres.
There are two individual unit blocks, each comprising of two levels of 12 bedrooms, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities as well as:
- coin operated laundry facilities
- open air drying facilities
- court yard
- BBQ
- store rooms for rent during holiday breaks are available.
Bus stops are situated a short two minute walk away from the residence.
Each room contains a:
- single bed
- built-in wardrobe
- large study desk
- lamp
- small refrigerator
- Internet and phone lines
Students need to supply their own bed linen, blankets, pillow and towel.
The kitchen has:
- lockable cupboards for non-perishable foods
- a freezer
- stove
- microwave
- toaster
- kettles
- vacuum cleaner
- mop and bucket
Students need to provide cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils and their own food.
The kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities are shared with other students.
CIT has 48 rooms available at the Campus Residence and 30 private car parking spaces.
